The Nelson Foundation has joined the Scattergood Foundation, United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation and others in The RISE partnership, a program combining resources, expertise and tools to strengthen the effectiveness of nonprofits in the Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey region. RISE has three parts: readiness, implementation and sustainability for effectiveness. The readiness component will be open to all nonprofits in the region. For the implementation component, a group of 15 grantees will be selected and will receive support from participating foundations.
