College Possible makes college admission and success possible for students from low-income backgrounds through an intensive curriculum of coaching and support. College Possible began serving students in Philadelphia and Delaware Counties during the 2014-2015 academic year.

Our program begins in high school and continues to serve our students all the way through to college completion. We provide (1) academic support through SAT test preparation; (2) college application assistance; (3) financial aid consultation; (4) guidance in the college transition; and (5) comprehensive support toward college degree completion. We envision a day when the future of America’s children is determined solely by their talent, motivation and effort, not their income.

College Possible Philadelphia is serving more than 900 high school and college students during the 2020-2021 academic year. Our students continue to achieve exceptional results with 86% of the class of 2018 enrolled in college for the fall semester, compared to the national rate of 67% for students from low-income backgrounds and 70% for all students (National Center for Education Statistics, 2018 and 2016), and 83% of the class of 2017 persisted from their freshman to sophomore year of college, compared to an overall national persistence rate 73.4% (NSC Research Center, 2016).  Furthermore, College Possible Philadelphia celebrated a significant milestone in 2020—its first class of college graduates.

College Possible is committed to advancing educational equity for students, helping to close the divide for students from low-income backgrounds, paving the way for a more qualified workforce and providing our students with a way to break the cycle of poverty and improve the quality of life for themselves, their families, and their communities.
