We are thrilled to share that Jenny Snyder has stepped into the role of President of The Nelson Foundation in October 2025.

Jenny has been an integral part of the Foundation since 2015, when she joined as Program Manager. She later served as Director of Grantmaking before assuming her new leadership role. Over the past decade, Jenny has been instrumental in embedding equity into our work, strengthening partnerships with grantees, and deepening our impact in the community.

Her experience extends beyond The Nelson Foundation, having worked with a variety of nonprofit organizations in both programmatic and fund development roles. Most recently, she served at The Cultural Data Project (now DataArts), supporting arts and cultural organizations and grantmakers in their use of financial and programmatic data.

Jenny’s academic background includes a BA in Music and minor in Business Administration from West Virginia University, an MA in Arts Administration from Drexel University, and a Women’s Leadership Development Certificate from Villanova University.

Outside of work, Jenny resides with her family in Delaware County, where she also serves on the Grantmaking Board of Advisors for Project W at The Communities Foundation. In her free time, she can usually be found enjoying community arts programs, volunteering at her daughters’ school, or out walking with her rescue dogs, Bob and Darla.

Please join us in congratulating Jenny on this exciting new chapter! We look forward to her leadership as she continues to advance the mission and impact of The Nelson Foundation.
