Dear Grantee Partners:

I am reaching out today as we all await the verdict in Minneapolis. I am sure that you, your staff and the communities you serve are preoccupied with, and anxious about, the outcome. This is a challenging and yet important time.

It is also a time of continued uncertainty because of the Pandemic. I am sure that many of you are struggling with what summer programming will look like, and what supports there will be for children and youth and your organizations as providers. The Greater Philadelphia Extracurricular Collaborative (GPEC) – a new initiative designed to advocate for the out of school time and extracurricular sector – is encouraging all OST providers in the Greater Philadelphia area to complete a short survey to help expand programming and access for children and youth this summer. Please take a few minutes to complete.

In addition, I wanted to make you aware that Compass Philadelphia is now accepting applications for a “Classic Project.” Compass grants pro bono consulting services to nonprofits benefitting the greater Philadelphia area. Each nonprofit client receives approximately $210,000 – $230,000 of strategic consulting services – free of charge. Select projects in one of five service lines: Board Development, Funding Strategy, Partnerships, Collaborations & Mergers, Strategic Alignment, and Strategic Marketing. Projects kick-off in mid-September 2021 and conclude in late May 2022. Nonprofit eligibility requirements can be viewed here. Applications are due Monday, June 7 at 5:00 p.m.

Finally, I hope that those who attended the two-hour training on Scenario Building and Contingency Planning found the session rewarding. Please make sure to complete the feedback survey that FMA BDO provided, so that the Foundation is able to assess the value of the workshop as well.
As always, Jenny and I encourage you to contact us for a friendly check in or if your organization needs assistance

Stay safe, stay healthy,
Mindy
